BUSS 40″ MODEL 44 PLANER W/5 KNIFE HEAD This planer has “everything” going for it. First off it’s from a pattern shop and shows little wear. It has a 40″ X 8″ capacity. A RARE 5 knife cutter head with segmented in-feed rolls and chip breakers. Complete with knife grinder, jointing stone, and powered grinding bar. To top this off it is powered by a 30 hp main motor and a 7.5 hp motor on the feed. Variable speed of 28-83 FPM. It is also currently wired 230V/3 Phase. The only repair we could find was on a handle (and we mean on the actual handle). Overall this planer is in very good condition. Take a look at the condition of the in-feed rolls and bed. One shot oiler works as it should. A very nice 44 that is fully optioned.
